What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Teacher with Curriculum Leader responsibilities to join our dedicated team at Hatton Special School. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of our pupils, providing tailored support and creating an inclusive, nurturing environment for their growth and learning. In addition to delivering high-quality teaching that meets the diverse needs of our students, you will play a key role in shaping and leading the curriculum across the school. This includes designing innovative, accessible learning pathways, ensuring progression and embedding best practices that reflect our commitment to personalised education. You will collaborate with colleagues to develop engaging schemes of work, monitor curriculum impact, and drive continuous improvement to inspire both staff and pupils. There are various roles and responsibilities within the curriculum leader team, and these will be allocated based on your experience and areas of expertise. As part of our exciting journey of growth, we will be opening our brand new upper school: in September 2026. This expansion will create even more opportunities for our pupils to flourish as they transition into the next stage of their education. This is a truly fantastic time to join our team and play a key role in shaping this development. While we are proud of the incredible work our staff have done and the outstanding practices they’ve established, we never stand still. We pride ourselves on creating a nurturing environment for children aged 3-11 with complex needs, including autism, social communication challenges, down syndrome, and other learning difficulties
