Linen Porter - Whitechapel
£12.30 per hour - Weekly Pay

The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Linen Porter to join our client's busy hospital environment in Whitechapel. This is an important role supporting the smooth running of hospital services by ensuring all wards and patient areas are stocked with clean, fresh linen.

About the Role:
As a Linen Porter, you will play a key part in maintaining high hygiene and cleanliness standards. You'll be responsible for the safe collection, movement, and distribution of linen across various hospital departments. This role involves being on your feet, working at pace, and communicating with ward staff to ensure stock levels are met throughout the day.

Key Duties Include:

  • Collecting used linen bags from wards, theatres, and patient areas

  • Delivering clean linen to the correct wards in a timely manner

  • Sorting linen ready for washing and identifying any damaged items

  • Maintaining accurate stock records and reporting shortages

  • Ensuring all linen trolleys and storage areas are kept clean and organised

  • Following infection control and health & safety procedures at all times

Hours:
Monday to Sunday, 7:00am - 1:00pm
(Shift rota to be discussed at interview)

Pay Rate:
£12.30 per hour, paid weekly every Friday

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous cleaning, housekeeping, or porter experience is desirable

  • Ability to work independently and use your own initiative

  • Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills

  • A positive attitude and willingness to support the team

  • Able to work in a hospital environment and manage a physical role

  • Immediate start available for the right candidate
