Job SummaryWe are seeking a professional and organised Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth administrative operations within the practice. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming environment. Manage patient appointments efficiently, including scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations. Answer incoming calls promptly, providing accurate information or directing calls to appropriate staff members. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with data protection regulations. Process administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and handling correspondence. Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and personal data. Assist with billing procedures and processing payments where applicable. Support clinical staff with administrative duties as required to ensure seamless clinic operations. Requirements Proven office experience, preferably within a healthcare setting or similar environment. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills, demonstrating professionalism and empathy when interacting with patients and colleagues. Proficiency in using office software programmes such as MS Office Suite or similar applications. Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and maintain confidentiality at all times. A friendly demeanour combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Previous administrative experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
