University Hospitals of Leicester have fantastic opportunities for ambitious individuals to join one of the biggest and busiest NHS Trusts in the country. Serving the one million residents of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, we have opportunities to work with experienced staff and develop your future career.

The Adult Critical Care Transfer Service (ACCOTS) primary role is to provide consultant decision-support, coordination and triage of all adult critical care transfer referrals and to perform time efficient, high-quality transfer of patients from hospitals within the east midlands, this role will be an integral part in the support of the service.

The role will be located within the ACCOTS service at our newly, purpose built base in Castle Donington (DE74 2NP), which is easily accessible via local transport links, there is also free parking onsite if required.

The role offers the opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in a busy and varied environment. Communication and professionalism are an integral part of the role and self-motivation and a willingness to have a flexible approach to learning and work is essential.

This role will include daily, weekly and monthly regular tasks such as data input, data validation and rota development while using a range of computer systems.

Our new strategy, developed with the support and feedback of colleagues, patients, and partners, is our compass for the next seven years (2023-2030).

We have four primary goals:
• high-quality care for all,
• being a great place to work,
• partnerships for impact, and
• research and education excellence

And we will embed health equality in all we do - taking active steps to reduce the avoidable differences in healthcare that some people face, working in partnership with communities.

Our strategy is underpinned by new values and we will work to ensure they are an everyday reality for all:
• we are compassionate,
• we are proud,
• we are inclusive, and
• we are one team

This is an exciting moment as we look to the future with clarity on what we already do well and where we need to focus our energies to make an even bigger difference for the people we serve.
