Your new role
As a Supported Housing Worker, you will play a key role in helping individuals maintain accommodation and achieve independence. This is a varied and rewarding position where you'll work across supported housing services in Bath, supporting a client base that includes ex-offenders and individuals with complex needs. You'll build trust, provide tailored support, and work closely with partner agencies to deliver outcomes that truly make a difference.
Duties include:
- Managing referrals and tracking outcomes to ensure smooth transitions for service users.
- Completing needs and risk assessments to create personalised support plans.
- Onboarding new clients and explaining rights, responsibilities, and licence agreements.
- Delivering high-quality, trauma-informed, and strength-based support.
- Promoting empowerment and resilience through person-centred approaches.
- Collaborating with external partners such as probation services and local agencies.
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting in line with organisational standards.
- Supporting clients to develop life skills and access community resources.
- Participating in an on-call, out-of-hours rota as required.
- Driving between sites as needed (valid licence and access to a car required).
Location: Bath Salary: £25,235 per annum Hours: 37.5 per week
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience working with individuals who have complex needs and/or challenging behaviours.- Knowledge of homelessness, social exclusion, and approaches to reduce offending.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust.
- Resilience, creativity, and empathy when tackling challenges.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
- A valid driver's licence and access to a car for business purposes.
