Thorn Baker is working in collaboration with a large FM company to effectively resource a Commercial Analyst.

They aren't laser focused on someone who has contract cleaning experience, the main objective of this hiring process is to resource someone who demonstrates the right soft skill set as well and the ability to effectively analyse and estimate for tenders.
The fundamental purpose of this position is to support the sales and bids function with new business conversion.
The role of Commercial Analyst will play a vital role in supporting the Sales team with pricing and solution new business opportunities as well as responding to day-to-day client requests.
Key Responsibilities -
- Providing accurate and competitive pricing solutions based on bespoke client requirements. Analysing pricing strategies and tailoring them to suit individual bids.
- Translating information provided by clients in different formats into a standardised internal model.
- Understanding TUPE data and being able to transfer key information.
- Reviewing contracts and understanding framework agreements to ensure any relevant costs associated are highlighted.
- Communicating effectively with different teams throughout the business including bid, operations and finance.
- Be confident in asking questions that challenge solutions and identify alternative processes that drive efficiency to provide different options for our clients.
- Assisting in driving good financial practices with an effective approach that maximises both revenue and profitability, working to support agreed sales targets.
- Reviewing and comparing costed data against monthly P&L accounts.
- Maintaining a contract database and benchmarking data to ensure up to date information is available to aid in assisting re tender opportunities and the retention process.
- Attend and support client calls to present pricing, discuss methodology and answer any questions.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of pricing structures/models, the importance of both internal and external relationship and a history of analysing financial models and estimating for new projects across a service based industry.
