Crynodeb

The Women’s Health Unit at Chesterfield Royal Hospital is seeking to recruit a motivated Staff Nurse who is passionate about women’s health and well-being.

Previous experience in a gynaecology setting would be an advantage.

We currently open 7am – 10pm daily and your working pattern will reflect the diverse range of care, procedures and treatments we offer. These include caring for women undergoing gynaecology day case procedures, termination of pregnancy, early pregnancy loss, early pregnancy assessment, and emergency gynaecology assessment.

It also encompasses the out-patient gynaecology service. Within this out-patient service there are specialist clinics providing Colposcopy, Hysteroscopy, Urodynamics and out-patient treatments such as Novasure.

This is an exciting opportunity, and we want to hear from you if you are keen to join our team. You will be supported with a comprehensive induction programme and continued support.

This post will require a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

For informal enquiries or to arrange a visit please contact the Women’s Health Unit Ward Leader on 01246 512466.

The post holder is responsible for the delivery of holistic, high quality, evidence-based care to patients accessing the gynaecology and early pregnancy services provided on the Women’s Health Unit. The post holder must be able to work without direct supervision and will be expected to undertake clinical procedures and extended roles, as indicated by service needs. Support and training will be provided, where required.

The post holder will work autonomously and as part of the multi-professional team. They will be expected to take charge of the Women’s Health Unit, after their induction period and will ensure the appropriate use and allocation of resources.
