An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed and motivated Careers Advisor to join a secondary school and sixth form in the Bracknell area. The school serves students aged 11-18 and is recognised locally for its strong standards, inclusive ethos and focus on high-quality education.
The role sits within a wider educational organisation that supports multiple schools across several regions. The trust promotes collaboration, professional growth and the sharing of best practice, while encouraging each school to maintain its unique identity. Staff benefit from a culture centred on continual learning and collective improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality, personalised careers guidance to students, covering further and higher education, apprenticeships and employment pathways.
Lead and support staff and visitors involved in careers provision.
Advise senior leaders on careers strategy, policy and resources.
Conduct one-to-one interviews and group sessions to explore students' aspirations, skills and interests.
Review and develop careers guidance across the school.
Supply required data for internal use and external bodies such as Ofsted.
You will need:
Level 6 Qualification in Careers Guidance (QCG), Diploma in Careers Guidance, NVQ4 in Advice and Guidance, or be working towards one of these.
GCSEs (A*-C / 9-4) in English and Maths or equivalent.
Experience in an office and data-driven environment, ideally within a school.
