We’re partnering with a well-established UK technology provider to recruit a Field Service Engineer/Installer covering Scotland and the North of England. You’ll become a crucial part of a growing service team delivering innovative automated and mechanical solutions across a wide customer base.

The Field Service Engineer Role:
This role is all about keeping systems running at their best. You’ll be responsible for:
• Carrying out planned service and maintenance visits
• Completing pre-installation tasks and undertaking small installation projects
• Delivering corrective and reactive maintenance when breakdowns occur
• Recording accurate service reports and documentation
• Delivering internal and external customer training where required
• Promoting system upgrades and improvements to maximise uptime and satisfaction
• Collaborating with the sales team to help drive revenue growth
• Travelling throughout your region, and occasionally across the UK
• Potentially travelling globally when needed
• Some jobs will require working nights, weekends, and staying away from home — flexibility is essential.
What You’ll Bring:
• Experience in mechanical and electrical/electronic service and maintenance
• Confidence using plastics, small tools, and handheld equipment
• Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn
• Excellent communication and customer-facing abilities
• IT literacy (Microsoft Office, reporting systems, etc.)
• Ability to follow procedures, plan effectively, and manage multiple tasks
• Flexibility to support reactive breakdown work
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to pass an enhanced DBS check
Bonus Skills
• Basic electrical knowledge
• Previous experience in field service engineering
• A-Level or equivalent qualification
