Looking for a role to start your career in Health and Safety?

Then look no further.

In this role you will be providing operational and administrative support for the SHE function on site and in other site across the UK, ensuring safe work practices and minimal environmental impact.

You will support the SHE Manager in implementing improvements, achieving site objectives, and assisting up to 350 employees with daily SHE issues.

The role is open to those looking for a career in this field - the only MUST haves are IOSH and strong administrative skill, along with the willingness to learn and grow.

You will be required to travel to other sites, on occasions, therefore, please consider this before you apply.

You will

  • Support the implementation of the SHE Management
  • Plan and carry out internal audits
  • Track and report on SHE related non-conformances
  • Support SHE related projects as required.
  • Promote and influence a positive safety culture within the product company
  • Provide support & guidance with COSHH, DSE & Ergonomic assessments.
  • Deliver SHE related training and awareness as required
  • Support the successful implementation of site SHE programmes
  • Administer and support incident/hazard investigations and corrective actions.
  • Produce relevant reports and information as required.
  • Conduct SHE audits and inspections
  • Prepare and maintain necessary regulatory documentation and reports.
  • Support teams across site in the execution of their SHE responsibilities.
  • Conduct and report on occupational health surveys.
  • Support projects on safety and environmental subjects, including manual handling, COSHH, waste management.

You must:

  • have IOSH Managing Safely qualification (or equivalent) as minimum requirement
  • be a good communicator and have excellent fluency in spoken and written English
  • have excellent admin skills

We'd like you to:

  • have previous experience in working within an occupational health and safety role including risk assessment and COSHH.
  • have formal Environmental training & qualification highly desirable.
  • have an awareness of the practical application of ISO 45001, ISO 14001 & ISO 9001 standards
  • be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, with particular strength in data analysis and reports.
  • be resilient to changing and conflicting priorities
