The Role:
• To support a 26-year-old gentleman with Down’s Syndrome, Autism and ADHD to access the local day centre and to support whilst there.
Main Duties:
• Support to access day centre
• Support with activities at day centre
• Support with animal care, woodwork and varying other activities – mainly outside at day centre
• Support with food and fluids (prompt)
• Support with weather appropriate wear (prompt)
• Support to keep safe (prompt)
Personal Qualities and Attributes required:
• Respectful of confidentiality and privacy
• Responsible, reliable and trustworthy
• Respectful of dignity and independence
• Good communication skills and social skills
• Punctual, reliable and flexible
• Ability to work on your own initiative
• Understanding, adaptable and organised
• Must like animals (day centre has animals)
• Car owner required to take to day centre, business insurance essential – mileage is paid – 0.45p per mile from clients home and back again
Please note that the person undertaking this role may be requested to supply evidence of DBS clearance and/or references where appropriate.
Hours: 7 hrs to be worked 9.00am – 4.00pm on Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday
Pay: To be discussed
