The post holder will provide specialist community psychiatric care to people with intellectual disabilities who reside within the county of Pembrokeshire, as part of the Pembrokeshire Community Team for Learning Disabilities. The post holder will be based at Llanion House in Pembroke Dock and will play a key role in delivering high-quality psychiatric care to individuals with intellectual disabilities. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, formulating and reviewing treatment plans, and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. The role also involves contributing to the development and implementation of care pathways, supporting teaching and training initiatives, and participating in clinical governance activities. In addition, the post holder will have the opportunity to actively shape service improvements across the Mental Health and Learning Disabilities (MH&LD) Directorate. This post is Full Time 40 hours per week (10 sessions with 8 DCCs and up to 2 SPAs (one for continued Professional Development and one for Clinical Effectiveness) Job Plan will be agreed with the successful applicant upon commencement. The successful candidate is expected to hold Section 12 approval and be working towards Approved Clinician (AC) status. A minimum of 12 years of postgraduate medical experience is required, including at least 6 years in the field of Psychiatry.
