Internal Cleaning Operative - Christmas Temp
Working within the large cleaning department at White Rose Shopping Centre to carry out a variety of daily duties to ensure the centre is always kept clean and tidy.
The role and responsibilities are to clean and maintain the toilets and complete required tasks on the malls accordingly to the shift pattern.
Working as part of a larger team on a 20-hour week fixed term temp - 3 months
-Working to an arranged shift pattern covering 20 hours per week.
-2x 7 hr shifts / 1x 6 hr shift
-Will be scheduled to work weekdays & weekends during the peak times at Christmas and New Year
Main Duties to include:
-Clean All toilets facilities and maintain to a high standard throughout your shift
-Clean & maintain the malls to a high standard throughout your shift
-Remove waste from the mall bins and place in the correct waste streams
-Maintaining the entrances
-Being reactive to spillages and hazardous waste
-Customer queries
-Operating various cleaning equipment
What we are looking for
-A competent and reliable individual who is willing to comply with the company's Health and Safety procedure
-To carry out all duties effectively and efficiently with accordance with contractual requirements
-Have full knowledge and understanding of the designated cleaning area, including the agreed work to be carried out and time allocated to the area.
-Working to support the food retailers with their waste.
-Have a full working knowledge of the cleaning equipment, materials and approved chemicals used within the premises and to attend all necessary training to be able to use this equipment
-To comply with the requirements of Health & Safety, other relevant legislation, and premises policies
-To wear protective clothing (PPE) as issued
-Perform miscellaneous cleaning duties as appropriate as instructed by the Cleaning Team Leader
-Good Customer Service skills to deliver outstanding service while, sharing all knowledge of the centres services in the shopping centre.
-Team Player who is willing to work together apart of a bigger team.
