Location: 1 Unicorn Road, Liverpool, Merseyside, L11 4TE
Hours per week: 35
Start Date: 01 December 2025 initially for a 3 month contract
Pay Rates: PAYE: £35.00 per hour Umbrella/Ltd: £45.87 per hour

Role: Experienced Adult Social Worker – Assessment and Care Delivery
We are seeking an Experienced Adult Social Worker to contribute to the operational delivery of an effective Adult Social Care Service. You will manage a complex caseload, safeguard vulnerable adults, and co-design support plans that promote independence and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
Hold and effectively manage a complex and varied caseload with appropriate supervision and guidance.
Undertake work within legislative frameworks, including preparing reports and applications to the Court of Protection.
Make complex decisions and manage risk using professional judgement, evidence-based tools, and critical reflection.
Communicate skilfully and confidently in complex or high-risk situations.
Undertake direct work with service users, carers, and families in line with safeguarding policies.
Assess needs and act as care navigator, planning responses in collaboration with carers, advocates, and health agencies.
Monitor and review support plans, identifying gaps in service and advising managers.
Lead safeguarding enquiries, ensuring completion within timescales.
Work in partnership with colleagues, allied health professionals, and multi-agency teams.
Maintain accurate, sensitive, and timely data entry on all cases.
Contribute to team development, supervision, and continuous professional learning.
Candidate Requirements
Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
Experience managing complex caseloads within Adult Social Care.
Strong knowledge of safeguarding, risk management, and care planning.
Excellent communication skills, able to work confidently in complex situations.
Ability to work collaboratively across multi-agency boundaries.
Enhanced DBS required.
Desirable: AMHP qualification or practice educator experience.
