We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Lecturer in Education to join our Initial Teacher Education (ITE) team at a pivotal and exciting time. This role offers a valuable opportunity to contribute directly to the development of future teachers, supporting high-quality, inclusive and evidence-informed practice across our ITE provision.

You will play a key role in delivering and developing our BA and PGCE Initial Teacher Education programmes, working closely with colleagues, partnership schools and external stakeholders to ensure our provision continues to reflect both professional excellence and sector innovation.
The role
As Lecturer in Education (Including ITE), you will:
● Teach across undergraduate and postgraduate Education programmes, with a particular focus on Initial Teacher Education leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
● Lead and contribute to modules, delivering engaging lectures, seminars and workshops grounded in contemporary pedagogical practice.
● Support and supervise student projects and dissertations, and contribute to their academic and professional development.
● Engage with partnership schools, including visiting students in placement settings and acting as a lead mentor where appropriate.
● Contribute to curriculum development and the enhancement of ITE provision, ensuring alignment with professional standards and Ofsted expectations.
● Participate in recruitment, selection and student-facing activities, supporting the growth and strength of the ITE community.
● Develop your research profile through scholarly activity and publication, contributing to the School’s commitment to impactful, evidence-based education.
