We’re looking for a Site Manager to join us at Crom Estate to take care of the daily operations here.
Salary: £26,793 per Annum
Contract: Permanent
Hours/ working pattern: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
What it's like to work here
Reporting to the Visitor Operations & Experience Manager, you’ll be part of a the Fermanagh Visitor Experience team working at Crom in the Fermanagh Portfolio. You'll be based at Crom in the Visitor Centre. Crom is located on the shoreline of Upper Lough Erne outside Newtownbutler. The tranquil 2,000 acres estate is made up of tranquil islands and ancient woodlands. One of Ireland’s most important conservation areas, the landscape of Crom is home to a wealth of wildlife including beautiful butterflies, wild deer and the elusive pine marten.

What you'll be doing
Day to day, you’ll be responsible for planning and running the on-site operations here. You’ll work closely with the Visitor Operations & Experience Manager and others in the operations team. You’ll be managing the Welcome & Services Assistants.
You will be a Duty Manager working alongside the Welcome team as the public face of our properties, you’ll work as part of a friendly team providing a warm welcome to visitors, giving information about the property, answering questions and making sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit.
You’ll be responsible for managing contractors working with the Facilities Manager, as their chief contact on site, and for compliance, organising access and making sure our work systems are always safe.
Who we're looking for

Experience working in settings such as historic properties, visitor attractions, or similar environments.
Previous experience in supervising, coaching, or training staff and/or volunteers.
Proven ability to manage operational and project budgets, including income generation and cost control.
Understanding of compliance requirements and experience in assessing and managing risks, including Health & Safety.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups including staff, volunteers, visitors, and stakeholders.
Additional criteria for all other applicants:
a skilled communicator who can forge strong relationships, both externally and internally
a problem-solver, able to work on your own initiative.
experienced in the practical aspects of managing a house and garden site
proactive and focused on solutions, mindful of the operational needs of a site
highly organised and skilled at planning, with a good eye for detail
adept at working to multiple deadlines and managing your own workload
a skilled communicator who can forge strong relationships, both externally and internally
a problem-solver, able to work on your own initiative.
