A Vacancy at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust.


To provide care and support to patients and service users with the appropriate supervision available from a Registered Nurse or registered Health Professional. ​

The Healthcare Support Worker carries out a range of patient care tasks and duties, while being mindful to cater for patient’s individual care needs. The Healthcare Support Worker will therefore enable the team to provide an effective and efficient service within a variety of settings​.

You will act as a role model to deliver a high standard of care to promote the delivery of a patient-focused service as appropriately delegated by the Nursing team.

At all times, you will work in accordance with the principles governed by the Trust policies.



The role will be clinically based working daytime shift patterns only. Applicants must have experience in care and hold the National Care Certificate. The role will require applicants to be excellent communicators as they will be working with patients, relatives, staff and the general public. A Band 3 healthcare support worker's main duties include performing a range of delegated clinical skills which includes taking physiological observations , monitoring patients blood glucose while providing fundamental patient care. They are expected to work with minimal supervision, accurately record patient information, and report any changes in a patient's condition to a qualified professional.
