Our client, a highly regarded educational institution in Tavistock, Devon, is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-time Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). As a vital member of our client's team, you will play a crucial role in fostering an inclusive learning environment that empowers students to reach their full potential.

In this rewarding position, you will work closely with the teaching staff to provide individualised support to students with diverse learning needs. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with teachers to develop and implement personalised learning plans tailored to each student's unique requirements
- Providing one-on-one and small group support to help students overcome learning challenges and achieve their academic goals
- Assisting with the preparation of educational materials and resources to enhance the learning experience
- Monitoring and documenting student progress, ensuring that any concerns are promptly communicated to the teaching staff and relevant stakeholders
- Maintaining a positive and nurturing classroom environment that promotes inclusivity, respect, and personal growth
- Supporting students with their emotional and social development, helping them to build confidence and foster positive relationships with their peers

To excel in this role, our client is seeking a candidate who possesses the following qualifications and attributes:
- A relevant qualification in education, childcare, or a related field (e.g. , Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification)
- Previous experience working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs
- A deep understanding of inclusive education practices and strategies for supporting students with diverse learning needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to teaching and learning
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Proficiency in using educational technology and assistive devices to support student learning
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with best practices in SEN support
