Chalk Education is recruiting for a Wellbeing Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive SEN provision in Maidenhead. This role involves working with children and young people across KS1-KS4 who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviours.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about promoting emotional wellbeing and helping students develop the confidence and resilience they need to succeed.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils with SEMH and emotional regulation within the classroom and during wellbeing sessions
- Building positive, trusting relationships with students to promote engagement and confidence
- Assisting teachers and pastoral teams in delivering wellbeing-focused activities
- Encouraging positive behaviour and supporting strategies that promote mental and emotional health
- Working collaboratively with staff, families, and external professionals
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH or mental health needs
- Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine passion for supporting emotional wellbeing and personal growth
