Are you a confident primary teacher with SEN experience?
Do you thrive in small, well-supported classrooms where your planning and creativity make a real impact?
Can you deliver engaging lessons for pupils working below age-related expectations, with clarity and warmth?
We're recruiting for a full-time Primary SEN Teacher to lead a KS2 (Year 4) class of 8 pupils in a specialist provision in the Lewisham area. You'll be supported by two experienced TAs, and responsible for planning and delivering your own lessons-not simply presenting pre-prepared material.
Pupils present with a range of needs including:
- Autism (ASD)
- ADHD
- Speech, language and communication difficulties
- Moderate learning difficulties
- Moderate-severe expressive and receptive language challenges
The class is working broadly at Year 1 level, and requires a teacher who can differentiate with confidence and care.
Key Details:
- Full-time, 5 days per week
- Immediate start
- Pay: £170-£270 per day (depending on experience)
Essential Requirements:
- QTS and proven UK primary teaching experience
- SEN experience in a specialist or inclusive setting
- Clear, fluent pronunciation of English (native-level or indistinguishable fluency)
- Confident lesson planning for pupils with complex needs
- Primary-trained only - secondary-trained teachers will not be considered unless you have taught primary sen
If you're ready to bring structure, warmth, and creativity to a specialist classroom, we'd love to hear from you.
