Where will you be working ?
We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.
This role will be within our Water and Wastewater Capital project delivery team. Our team delivers large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

What you'll be doing?
As our Logistics Assistant you'll help with moving goods and keeping records, you’ll be working on our United Utilities Water AMP8 contracts from our Operational Depot in Burnley.
You'll be providing essential support to the Contract team in a wide range of activities – the role involves both physical and office based tasks including:
Operational Stores Management – off-loading, lifting, moving & storing items, managing stock issues, returns and conducting regular cycle counts and stock takes.
Stores Administration – maintaining accurate stock records, checking paperwork and updating systems.
Health & Safety – ensure Health, Safety & compliance within the operational depot. Manage safe and compliant storage of materials in line with company and regulatory standards.
What you’ll bring

- Do you have previous experience within logistics or stores?
- Do you have a proactive approach with a commitment to delivering key outcomes – happy to do physical work and also assist with admin tasks?
- Have you got great communication and interpersonal skills?
- Do you have the ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with others?
- Are you comfortable using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)?
- Do you have a Valid full driving licence? As there will be an element of travel involved with the role.
- Do you have a Fork lift licence? This is desirable but not essential as training will be offered.
