What skills and experience we're looking for
Knavesmire Primary School is looking to appoint a Pastoral Lead to join the school’s safeguarding team, and to support the welfare and progress of pupils in their learning, behaviour and their personal development. The role includes identifying and working with vulnerable pupils and families, leading on pastoral support to pupils and undertaking the role of Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.
You will have experience of successfully developing and implementing intervention strategies to help children and their families, and multi-agency working. You will possess GCSE English and maths at Grade 4/C or above, or equivalent, and will either hold or be willing to complete the Level 3 Designated Safeguarding Lead qualification. You will be able to build effective working relationships with pupils, parents, staff and other stakeholders, including external agencies.
The trust will be undertaking a job evaluation exercise in the near future and, therefore, the grade for this position may change.
