This is a pivotal role focused on managing our people data and reward processes, driving automation and efficiency across the Group. As a Data Management Specialist, you’ll lead the delivery of robust data solutions, ensure the integrity and consistency of employment cost reporting, and validate payroll and bonus activities for multiple markets. You’ll collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to streamline operations, support compliance with legislation, and enable data-driven decision making. Your expertise will help support a culture of accuracy, security, and continuous improvement, making a tangible impact on our business and employee experience.
A typical day in this role includes:
- Delivering robust automation solutions for the Reward team, maintaining reporting processes and ensuring data consistency
- Manage employment costs budget and forecasting activities, including tracking spend, performance, and budgets for People team cost centres
- Support annual pay and bonus activities
- Ensure compliance with legislation requirements through regular reporting and modelling
- Drive recommendations for improved efficiencies and AI solutions within systems
- Manage user access, security permissions, and performance of systems and associated tools, providing expert guidance to ensure data integrity
- Collaborate with Group, Business Units, People Teams, Data/Analytics Teams, Finance Teams, and external suppliers
- Maintain high standards of data completeness, consistency, and integrity, and facilitate open communication and joint problem-solving
This role would be a good fit for you if:
- You have experience delivering automation and efficiency improvements in data management within reward, payroll, or HR environments
- You’re experienced in managing employment costs, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting on legislation requirements
- You have a strong grasp of data validation, process automation, and system security/access management
- You’re comfortable collaborating across internal teams (People, Data/Analytics, Finance) and external suppliers
- You demonstrate attention to detail, maintain confidentiality, and understand data privacy and security protocols
- You’re results-driven, resilient in complex data scenarios, and proactive in bringing ideas to solve challenges
What you will need:
- Technical proficiency with Microsoft products and experience using AI solutions
- Strong analytical thinking, able to identify patterns, trends, and recommend data-driven developments
- Experience with data and process management, working with different data sources, identifying gaps, and automating reports
- Skills in visualisation and storytelling techniques to transform complex information into clear, compelling insights that drive informed decision-making
- Ability to follow structured processes, document procedures, and maintain audit trails
- Integrity, accountability, and a stakeholder-focused approach to building trust and delivering responsive support
- Communicate complex ideas in a clear, concise, and professional manner, ensuring understanding across diverse audiences and stakeholders.
