The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Tameside Council Employment and Skills Service, working cross Directorate with our colleagues in Childrens Service, as part of the Tameside Futures NEET support team. Tameside Futures works to reduce the number of young people not in education, employment or training (NEET) in Tameside aged 15-18, or up to 24 if the young person is care experienced or has an EHCP).

About You

We are looking for an Employment Officer whose role will be to work as part of the project team and focus on supporting a caseload of young people into/towards work or further education / skills / training . We are looking for an energetic, passionate, and committed individual who is able to engage with young people in addition to working in partnership with organisations that support young people such as careers guidance, Leaving Care Team, JCP and our post 16 education providers.

This may involve some flexible working to suit the availability of participants.
