The Role


We are seeking to recruit an experienced and motivated person to join our busy School Admissions Team. You will play a vital role in ensuring that parents who apply to transfer their children to other schools are allocated places quickly and efficiently.


Based within Access Service in Education, you will liaise between parents and schools to allocate school places, record school transfers using the Capita ONE system and ensure records are accurate. You will liaise with the Transfer Coordinator on difficult cases and refer pupils whose places need to be allocated under the In Year Fair Access Protocol to the appropriate senior officer.


You will be required to carry out general administrative tasks such as preparing accurate files for school appeals, actioning waiting lists and validating information provided by schools and parents.


About You


The successful candidate will need excellent communication, customer care and IT skills and have good attention to detail.


You will work 25 hours a week over 4 days: Mon 9.25 4.00, Tue 9.25 4.00, Wed 9.25-4.00, Thu non-working day, Fri 9.25 4.00.
