Position: Full-time temporary Executive Officer

Location: Liverpool

Contract: until end March 2026

Working Hours: 37 per week Mon-Fri

Pay rate: £16.10 per hour

Brook Street have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Executive Officer to join our public sector client based in Bootle, Liverpool. This is a temporary assignment which will run until the end of March 2026 with a view to extend beyond this date.

Job description:

The Divisional Support Officer role is critical to smooth administration of the Technology Division (TD). The team is also responsible for the support of our Senior Leadership Team (SLT) activities and will lead on the delivery of divisional wide recruitment, training requirements, divisional meetings and corporate events, assurance activities and financial governance. You will liaise with a wide range of stakeholders in order to plan and manage fast paced divisional requirements in line with the TD annual business plan. You will need to prioritise demands strategically, advising on how best to co-ordinate divisional commitments. This role is a critical and visible part of the Technology Division and you will be a reliable point of contact for support for our colleagues.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Undertake divisional needs in relation to support, seeking continuous service improvements and ensuring services are delivered in line with the TD business plan
  • Support colleagues on TD recruitment and contingent labour activity as well as liaising with other HSE divisions and ensure a coordinated approach to joint projects - Teams, Microsoft Lists, Outlook, SharePoint, Excel
  • Carry out a range of administrative, financial and governance processes to support SLT, its activities and delivery of the business plan.
  • Arranging, attending and managing meetings, preparing agendas, meetings papers and packs and booking rooms/accommodation, as well as note/action taking ensuring actions are following up and recorded providing timely updates to attendees -Outlook/Teams/ OneNote/ SharePoint
  • Management of divisional SharePoint site, organigrams and divisional house style templates, keeping divisional guidance up to date and relevant in line with current divisional requirements and plans. - SharePoint, Visio, Word, Microsoft Lists
  • Support divisional Assurance Framework in line with HSE policies, ensuring assurance activities are undertaken and data sets are captured and analysed providing monthly analytical reports to the DDIT.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience of Microsoft packages including SharePoint, Excel, List
  • Able to prioritise workloads
