We are looking for a Network Product and Service Owner to join our community of tech experts in DWP Digital.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?

  • Proven experience and knowledge of Product ownership and Product management in an IT environment.
  • Track record of developing effective relationships with key stakeholders and work collaboratively with colleagues across multi-functional teams.
  • Demonstrate good experience of effectively communicating at different levels across a range of stakeholders using a variety of methods including digital, written and verbal. This includes the capability to translate a technical problem into language that all stakeholders can understand.
  • Demonstrable experience of analysing and interpreting complex data and/or technical information, using sound judgement, to recommend considered approaches to improve situations and tasks and give explanations to colleagues, stakeholders and customers using the most appropriate method of communication to simplify and ensure understanding.
  • Proven experience of working under pressure, being able to effectively manage multiple pieces of work and ensuring actions are completed in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate working experience and knowledge of IT Service Management and the ability to undertake standard IT service management duties for example incident, problem and change management plus managing Service Level Agreements (SLA's) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)

You and your role

You'll help keep our networks stable, secure and performing at their best. That means working with engineers, suppliers and stakeholders to resolve complex network issues quickly, prevent outages before they happen and ensure seamless connectivity across our infrastructure. You'll dive into everything from troubleshooting WAN/LAN performance and analysing network telemetry to managing configuration changes and driving service improvements.

You'll also play a big part in shaping the future of our network products, supporting new technologies like SD-WAN and cloud integrations, whilst making sure we stay ahead of security vulnerabilities and performance challenges. This is a role for someone who loves problem solving, thrives on technical detail and wants to make a real impact on enterprise scale infrastructure.

Location: You'll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Blackpool, Manchester or Newcastle whichever is most convenient for you.

Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and some time collaborating face to face in a hub.

Pay: We offer competitive pay of up to £39,621.

Pension: You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, worth over £11,000 per year.

Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 26 days rising to 31 days over time.

You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time. You'll also get all the usual public holidays.
