Learning Support Assistant

Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)?

Do you possess a good sense of humour, along with effective behaviour management strategies?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dedicated team as a Learning Support

Assistant (LSA) at our outstanding schools in Rainham.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support with SEND.
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to create a positive learning environment.
  • Demonstrate excellent use of initiative to adapt support techniques to meet individual student needs.
  • Foster a supportive atmosphere that encourages student engagement and confidence.
  • Understand and accommodate different children's needs and learning styles.

Requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in UK
  • Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to get one
  • Experience working with children or young people with additional care needs
  • 2 recent professional references
  • Ability to communicate with and inspire children.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting child welfare.
  • Previous experience working with SEND students is essential.
  • A good sense of humour and a positive attitude towards supporting students.
  • Demonstrated ability in behaviour management strategies.
  • Excellent use of initiative to adapt support techniques.
  • Understanding of different children's needs and learning styles.
