Are you the right person for the job?

Our client is seeking an experienced Area Manager who thrives within dynamic, diverse, community-rooted settings.

Essential Requirements:

• 6+ years in Early Years management with a minimum Level 3 qualification
• Experience contributing to or achieving ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted outcomes
• Strong safeguarding and Child Protection knowledge
• Confident decision-maker with strong commercial, administrative, compliance, and record-keeping skills
• Proven ability to recruit, induct, develop, and supervise high-performing teams
• Skilled in building professional, trusted relationships with parents and families

Leadership Qualities:

• Strategic thinker capable of delivering occupancy targets without compromising quality
• Strong understanding of continuous improvement within regulated environments
• Ensures staff training, qualifications, and compliance are consistently maintained
• Builds positive, professional relationships with staff and families

Desirable:
Corporate nursery experience, Paediatric First Aid qualification, management training, or knowledge of government funding processes.

What will your role look like?

The successful candidate will divide their time between Tottenham HQ (60%) and Wood Green (40%), leading two Ofsted ‘Good’ settings with a combined capacity of 130+ children.

During the first 6 months, you will focus on three strategic priorities:

Growth Driver

• Increase Wood Green occupancy to 70–80% (linked to bonus scheme)
• Lead marketing and community engagement initiatives

Learning Excellence

• Embed strong learning journeys from entry to graduation
• Implement robust assessment and observation frameworks
• Support curriculum refinement and development

Team Optimisation

• Lead and develop a diverse team of 20+ staff
• Improve staffing structures, rotas, and deployment
• Drive professional development, wellbeing, and retention
