As part of our growing Engineering team, we are looking for a Multi Skilled Technician to provide a building fabric maintenance and repairs service. The role sits within our client site in Lancashire.

You will be responsible for delivering a building fabric service such as carpentry and Fire door inspection and repair. Ideally you will have worked in the building sector, or similar, as you will be carrying out fabric repairs. You should be physically fit as the role does involve some manual handling, working at heights and in confined spaces.

You will keep the clients updated with any developments, recording all activities, remedial works, inspection logs etc and ensure a high level of customer service and will need good verbal and written communication and comfortable working with IT to record your tasks and updates,

The ideal candidate would have a background in facilities management, a trade scheme or served experience.

Responsibilities

-Repairs and maintenance to building fabric

-Minor repair and maintenance of tiling, walls and ceiling

-Remedial minor building works following PPM activities completed by other service lines

-Fire Door inspections and repairs, flooring repair, basic plastering

-Stock management of site consumables

-Hosting of subcontractors

-Flexibility to work out of hours and at weekends

-Other

Requirements

-Qualified to a C&G or NVQ in a fabric trade like joinery, roofing, etc.

-Previous experience of working as a fabric technician

-Strong customer service experience

-Ability to be proactive

-Experience of PDA technology for reporting and completion of jobs is essential, as this forms part of the process to complete and sign off each job.

-Full and valid UK Driving Licence
