The role will involve actively listening to their conversation, assessing their circumstances, identifying a range of solutions and supporting the person to access the most appropriate option or range of options for their needs through a focussed, guided conversation.

This role would suit someone with strong interpersonal skills who can provide guidance, reassurance and decision-making support to our helpline.
If you are creative, dedicated with a passion to improving the Health and Well-being of people and their communities, we would love to hear from you. A full driving licence and access to a car is desirable for the purpose attending events and running a stand.

Hours of Work: 22.5 hours a week over 3 days, 8:30am – 4:30pm, days to be agreed with the requirement to undertake, with notice, occasional weekend, evening and bank holiday support cover from time to time.
Duration: 12 months fixed term contract initially
DBS: This role is subject to a Standard DBS check
Since 2022, Age UK Cornwall & The Isles of Scilly, Partners (including Chaos Group, Volunteer Cornwall, Cornwall Neighbourhoods for Change and others) and Integrated Care Board have been working together to improve access to services, with the aim of reducing demand on acute services. Our partnership supports the community, coordinating holistic solutions to local challenges. This partnership and collaboration ensures that the project has a greater engagement and reach within local communities, helping the right people at the right time and developing innovative results.
