Summary
Are you passionate about empowering young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) as they take their next steps into adulthood?
As a SEND Coach, you will support small groups of students with EHCPs, helping them develop essential life skills. Your role involves delivering tailored coaching both on campus and within the local community, empowering learners to achieve their individual goals.
Are you ready to work with a friendly team that values your ideas?
You will design and implement half-termly coaching plans that align with students' EHCP outcomes and life skills targets. You'll collaborate closely with SEND Support colleagues, the Inclusive Practice curriculum team, and external professionals, drawing on your communication and teamwork skills to ensure a holistic, person-centred approach.
Would you like a role which engages with the local community?
You will lead small groups of learners on meaningful community experiences-such as visiting local parks, museums, and social venues-designed to build confidence and independence while working towards EHCP outcomes. Alongside this, you'll coach learners both on campus and offsite in essential life skills, including communication, budgeting, cooking, time management, travel training, and self-advocacy, helping them prepare for adult life.
