Summary

The Data Architect provides strategic leadership for the design, development and governance of the University’s enterprise data architecture, engaging with peers across the higher education and technology sectors to ensure alignment with emerging best practice and national initiatives. The role defines and maintains the principles, standards and frameworks that ensure the University’s data infrastructure including the enterprise data warehouse, data integration platforms, and associated data solutions is secure, scalable, efficient and aligned with institutional priorities.

As the University’s lead authority on data architecture, the post holder will shape the technical direction for data management, ensuring that data is designed, stored, and integrated to maximise value, insight and compliance. Working in close partnership with senior stakeholders across academic and professional services, the Data Architect will influence decision-making, promote best practice, and drive the adoption of modern, sustainable data solutions that enhance data accessibility, quality and analytical capability across the institution.

This appointment is a fixed-term contract until 02 July 2027.
