Automotive Sales Manager
Monday-Saturday, 5 Day Week!
Main Dealer Progression!
Up to £45,000 Basic, OTE £65,000!
Worthing Area
A well-established main dealer in Worthing is seeking a driven, people-focused Sales Manager to lead a busy showroom team and play a key role in the site’s ongoing success.
This is a non-selling position, ideal for someone who enjoys motivating others, maintaining strong presence on the showroom floor, and driving daily performance through hands-on leadership rather than direct sales.
With a stable team, supportive senior management and genuine scope to influence standards and culture, this role offers clear progression and the chance to make a real impact from day one.
Responsibilities
• Lead, motivate and develop a team of six Sales Executives
• Maintain strong visibility on the showroom floor
• Drive departmental performance through coaching and daily direction
• Ensure a consistently high customer experience
• Manage reviews, performance discussions and ongoing team development
• Work closely with senior management to achieve targets
• Maintain operational discipline and strong site standards
Requirements
• Senior sales experience within the motor trade; step-up candidates welcomed
• Driven, enthusiastic and confident leading from the front
• Hands-on approach — not suited to someone who prefers to stay in the office
• Strong communicator with proven team-building skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced main dealer environment
• Comfortable in a non-selling, leadership-focused role
Salary and Benefits
• Basic salary up to £45,000
• Uncapped OTE around £65,000
• Bonus based on percentage of department profits
• Monday–Saturday, 8:30am–6pm with one weekday off
• Company car
• Free onsite parking and charging point
• 25 days’ holiday + bank holidays
