Connect Driver Solutions have a new opportunity with our logistics and distribution client in Bathgate, West Lothian. We're seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor to join the site on a permanent basis.

Working within the transport department, you will assist the Transport Manager in leading the team and maintaining high standards of performance, efficiency, and service.
Your day-to-day duties include, but not limited to:
- Overseeing the daily running of the transport operation, including dispatch, driver check-ins, and tracking ongoing jobs
- Conducting driver debriefs, ensuring information flows smoothly across the team
- Planning ahead to make the best use of vehicles and drivers, helping to reach operational and commercial targets
- Supporting the planning and execution of compliance activities in line with company standards and industry rules
- Providing regular operational updates and highlight opportunities to improve processes or service levels
- Handling enquiries confidently across email, phone, and in person, acting as a central contact for transport-related issues
- Responding to vehicle issues or breakdowns and help minimise downtime
- Encouraging a positive team culture by working collaboratively and supporting colleagues when needed
To be successful within this Transport Supervisor role, you must have experience within a transport or logistics environment. Combined with a good understanding of Working Time Directive (WTD) regulations and EU driver hours.
Other key skills, traits and experience include:
- Able to communicate clearly with drivers, colleagues, and management
- Strong knowledge of UK geography and routes
- Organised and able to manage multiple tasks while meeting daily deadlines
- High attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Capable of working independently as well as part of a team
- Confident using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
