Crynodeb
The postholder will play an active role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients within the Infectious Diseases and Travel Medicine service. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the postholder will undertake a range of delegated clinical duties under the supervision and support of a registered practitioner, ensuring safe and effective care for patients with complex infectious conditions and travel-related health needs. The postholder will contribute to the planning, implementation and evaluation of individualised care plans, maintaining consistently high clinical standards. They will be expected to use sound judgement, take appropriate action within their sphere of competence, and work with initiative to support timely and effective patient outcomesparticularly in fast-moving infectious disease scenarios. A key element of the role is supporting and promoting a safe clinical environment, adhering to infection prevention and control standards at all times. The postholder will lead and support a team of Clinical Support Workers and Apprentice Clinical Support Workers, promoting best practice and ensuring consistent delivery of patient-centred care. The postholder will work in the ward within the J20 Infectious Diseases and Travel Medicine service, collaborating closely with medical, nursing, and allied health professionals.
