Job Advert
Falkirk Council are looking to recruit a Support for Learning Assistant for Westquarter Primary School. You will provide support for children with Additional Support Needs. You will undertake a range of support activities with regard to general supervision, safety, care and well-being of the children.
There are 3 posts available. The roles will require supporting children with a variety of needs such as de-escalation, supporting with the regulation of emotions, supporting with literacy and numeracy and assisting with medical needs. Good communication and nurturing skills are essential. You should enjoy working as an individual and as part of a team.
Post 1:
You will work 7.5 hours per week on a term time basis.
A knowledge of trauma-informed practise and experience working with pupils who have social, emotional and behavioural needs is preferred.
Post 2:
You will work 15 hours per week on a term time basis. Your working pattern will be Wednesday, Thursday & Friday.
Experience working with pupils who are visually impaired is preferred.
Post 3:
You will work 13.5 hours per week on a term time basis. Your working pattern will be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
The posts are temporary until 26th June 2026 due to service requirement.
If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.
