Are you passionate about support Children and Families?
Staffordshire Family Hubs are recruiting Family Hub Coaches to join our dedicated team to deliver early help and support to families.
Family Hubs enable families to get information, advice, guidance and appropriate support to meet their needs and overcome difficulties they may be experiencing.
As a Family Hub Coach you will plan and deliver evidence based parenting programmes to families face to face and online. Delivery will be via a group or as one to one in the family hub or at the family home depending on the need.
You will be an advocate for promoting the family hubs partnership offer and engage with families to ensure their voice and experience is captured and used to shape the services.
Family Hub coaches are located across the county and affiliated to a district hub.
Delivery is planned according to need and may be delivered during the day or early evenings if required
Main ResponsibilitiesAs a Family Hub Coach you will:
- Engage with families to deliver parenting groups and one to one support to promote healthy lifestyles, positive peer/ family relationships and safe parenting whilst having a good understanding of their culture and community identity.
- Signpost to and support families, children and young people to engage with appropriate organisations and activities to promote positive outcomes and develop family resilience.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other locality providers from across the Family Hub network.
- Use our internal IT system to manage bookings, communicate with families and partners, input family data and report on achieved outcomes.
- Record and maintain data to inform district and countywide reports.
- Training is provided.
You will have,
- A passion for working with children and families
- Experience in delivering training and informative messages through fun and engaging pedagogy.
- Understanding of how to appropriately signpost or intervene
- An ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
- An ability to work effectively in situations of conflict and resolve difficulties.
- An ability to travel around the district with resources if required
