About the Business:
We are excited to be working exclusively with our client to recruit for a new Head of Payroll & Onboarding role within their business - an opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to join during a period of organic growth.
This dynamic, professional services organisation offers a fresh approach to workforce management. From full-service payroll support to HR administration and employee benefits management, they deliver tailored solutions that save time, reduce costs, and keep teams happy. Their team is expanding, and they are now looking for a leader to take ownership of both payroll and client onboarding processes.
The Role:
As the Head of Payroll & Onboarding, you'll take a leadership role in overseeing the payroll function and client onboarding processes. This includes managing payroll for approximately 6000 workers per week you will be involved in the full end to end process Supporting various clients from a vertical market, ensuring compliance, and delivering excellence in service for both public, Private & SME Sectors
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading and managing the payroll team, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities.
* Overseeing end-to-end payroll operations for a large portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
* Onboarding new clients by conducting engaging and professional presentations via Microsoft Teams, ensuring clients understand the payroll process and system requirements.
* Driving process improvements and system efficiencies to enhance payroll delivery.
* Collaborating closely with internal teams and clients to maintain excellent service standards.
* Staying up to date with payroll legislation and ensuring compliance across all areas of payroll and HR.
* Championing the use of technology, implementing innovative solutions to streamline operations.
About You:
I am looking to speak with experienced, forward-thinking, payroll professionals with a passion for payroll and client onboarding. We are keen to speak with Individuals who are:
* CIPP qualified (or working towards it)
* Proven experience in leading high-volume payroll operations for a large portfolio of clients.
* Strong technical knowledge of payroll legislation, compliance, and industry best practices.
* Confidence in presenting to clients via Teams during onboarding and training sessions.
* Experienced with Leading and supporting a payroll team.
* Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide your team.
* Experience with payroll systems (Finity experience is a plus, but not essential).
* A tech-savvy, proactive mindset, with a focus on process improvement and driving change.
