Jennifer Griffiths Recruitment are seeking a Semi-Skilled Production Operator to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have a mechanical or general manufacturing background and a keen interest in working in a production environment. You will be responsible for supporting the production process, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring efficient operation of machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate production machinery safely and efficiently
Assist with assembly, fabrication, and general manufacturing tasks
Conduct quality checks on products to ensure compliance with company standards
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Report any issues with machinery, materials, or processes to supervisors
Assist in the setup and changeover of equipment
Follow all health and safety regulations, including PPE requirements
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production team
Skills & Experience:
Mechanical or manufacturing experience preferred (apprenticeship, vocational qualification, or hands-on experience)
Ability to work as part of a team and take direction
Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
Physically fit and able to work on your feet for extended periods
Ability to follow procedures
Willingness to learn and develop new skills
Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Friday: 6:00 AM – 12:15 PM
Job Type: Temporary, ongoing
Hours: 37 per week
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
