Daily Rate: £32,916 - £45,352 (Paid to scale)
Days: Monday - Friday, Term Time Only

A specialist independent school in Nottinghamshire is looking for a full-time Design & Technology Teacher to join their team. The school supports pupils aged 8 to 18 with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD and SEMH.
The setting blends academic, practical and vocational learning within a highly supportive, therapeutic environment where relationship-building and personalised teaching are central to student progress.
They are ideally seeking a teacher with a woodwork specialism, although they are open to Design & Technology teachers from all backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons tailored to a wide range of ages and abilities
- Create practical and skills-based learning opportunities, promoting student confidence and independence
- Build positive and supportive relationships with pupils
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of pupils with Autism, ADHD and SEMH
- Work closely with staff to ensure pupils feel supported
- Provide constructive feedback that supports personal and academic development
- Maintain a safe, organised and inclusive workshop and classroom environment
Key Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - ECTs are welcome to apply
- Experience or interest in working with pupils who have SEN/SEMH needs
- Strong communication and the ability to build trust and rapport with young people
- A flexible, creative and resilient approach to teaching
- Woodwork specialism preferred, but all DT disciplines considered
