This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of £89 to £100 per day, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
The ideal candidate will possess a genuine enthusiasm for supporting students' learning and development, working collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to create an inclusive and nurturing educational environment. As a Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the academic, social, and emotional growth of our diverse student population.
- Provide individual and small group support to students with varying learning needs, ensuring they receive the necessary guidance and assistance to thrive academically
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons, adapting materials and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records, communicating regularly with teachers and parents to ensure a holistic approach to each student's development
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and collaboration among students
- Support the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies, working closely with the special educational needs coordinator (SENCO)
- Participate in extracurricular activities, school events, and field trips, contributing to the overall enrichment of students' educational experiences
- Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent experience working in an educational setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Proficient in using educational technology and resources to support learning
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children and young people
- Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed
