What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic MFL Teacher to join our vibrant and committed team of specialist staff. Applicants should be able to teach at least French to KS4 and potentially to A Level. The ability to offer German would be an advantage.
What the school offers its staff
The Priory Academy LSST, one of the UK’s top performing state schools, is looking for a Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages to join our exceptional staff body. You would join a team who are rightly proud of our Academy’s outstanding academic track record but prouder still of the vibrant, supportive and ambitious culture to which we all contribute and foster.
We are extremely proud to have recently been awarded Lead Language Hub status by the DfE in the first national phase and now Language Network Status, and are looking forward to developing initiatives within this context. Over 90% of our students study a language at KS4 and we have groups at A Level too. We have recently refurbished the MFL department and the successful candidate would make use of new, modern and contemporary facilities. The post would suit an NQT or a teacher looking for career development.
The Priory Academy LSST is a member of The Priory Federation of Academies Trust, an established and supportive MAT. Our scale allows both flexibility and creativity in terms of career development, with permanent and secondment opportunities across our academies allowing exciting career pathways. We are determined in our mission to improve the life chances of our students and we are equally committed to the wellbeing and development of our staff. All our support staff benefit from annual appraisals, access to CPD opportunities, our Trust Employee Benefits Programme and excellent support from our HR team.
