Salary: Bristol Grade 5
Contract Type: Part-Time: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (8:30am - 3:30pm) = 19 hours per week
Closing Date for Applications: 26th November 2025Are you passionate about supporting young children to thrive and reach their full potential? Do you have experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN)? If so, we’d love to hear from you. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Worker to join our team from January 2026. This part-time role is ideal for someone who is committed to inclusive practice and has a strong understanding of the developmental needs of young children. Key Responsibilities: • Provide care and supervision for children in a Nursery School setting.
• Support the holistic development of individuals and groups, including children with SEN.
• Contribute to the planning and delivery of specialist learning programmes.
• Assist in the creation and review of individual education plans (IEPs).
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
• Work in partnership with parents, carers, and other professionals.
• Participate in meetings and reviews to support individual child development.Essential Requirements:• Level 3 qualification in Early Years (e.g., NVQ3, BTEC, NNEB), or well ont he way to achieving this.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with children/young people in an educational setting.
• Knowledge of child protection procedures and equal opportunities.
• Proven ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
• Experience identifying individual children’s needs and contributing to developmental assessments.
• Understanding of the needs of children with SEN.Desirable: • Experience working in an educational setting.
• Skills in planning programs for individual and group learning.
• Awareness of quality monitoring in early years provision.Special Conditions: • This post involves direct work with children and is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
