Contract Type: Part-Time: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (8:30am - 3:30pm) = 19 hours per week

Do you have experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN)? If so, we’d love to hear from you. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Worker to join our team from January 2026. This part-time role is ideal for someone who is committed to inclusive practice and has a strong understanding of the developmental needs of young children. Key Responsibilities: • Provide care and supervision for children in a Nursery School setting.
• Support the holistic development of individuals and groups, including children with SEN.
• Contribute to the planning and delivery of specialist learning programmes.
• Assist in the creation and review of individual education plans (IEPs).
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
• Work in partnership with parents, carers, and other professionals.
• Participate in meetings and reviews to support individual child development.Essential Requirements:• Level 3 qualification in Early Years (e.g., NVQ3, BTEC, NNEB), or well ont he way to achieving this.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with children/young people in an educational setting.
• Knowledge of child protection procedures and equal opportunities.
• Proven ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
• Experience identifying individual children’s needs and contributing to developmental assessments.
• Understanding of the needs of children with SEN.Desirable: • Experience working in an educational setting.
• Skills in planning programs for individual and group learning.
• Awareness of quality monitoring in early years provision.Special Conditions: • This post involves direct work with children and is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
