Hours: Variable shifts, minimum 7 hours, maximum 15 hours - between 05:00–01:00
Contract: Up to 25 hours per week depending on event schedule.
We have an exciting opportunity for DS-licensed Security Officers to join our team at one of Europe’s leading exhibition centres, ExCeL London. This is a dynamic, high-profile environment where you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional security, safety, and customer service to visitors, clients, and staff.
This role involves both front-line ground duties and Control Room responsibilities, and you may be redeployed between the two as required. Candidates who hold a CCTV SIA Licence or are interested in further training are encouraged to apply.

Purpose of the RoleAs a Security Officer, you will protect people, property, and assets while maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment. You will act as a visible deterrent, respond to incidents, and uphold all site security, safety, and visitor management procedures.
Your core objectives are to detect, deter, protect, observe, and report.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain a safe and secure environment for customers, visitors, contractors, and staff.
Conduct proactive and regular patrols across designated areas.
Deliver exceptional customer service at all times.
Identify signs of crime, disorder, or suspicious activity and respond appropriately.
Manage visitor access and operate site access control systems.
Monitor building entrances and vehicle gates.
Report incidents, concerns, and Health & Safety issues in line with site policy.
Support medical incidents when required (training provided).
Assist with emergency and incident response under the direction of Supervisors and the Site Manager.
Valid SIA Door Supervisor (DS) Licence.
5-year checkable work and address history for BS7858 vetting (including HMRC employment verification)
Professional, reliable, punctual, and well-presented.
Friendly, approachable, and confident interacting with the public.
Motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work flexibly across varying shifts.
Experience in a security or customer-focused environment.
SIA CCTV Licence (or interest in training).
Strong awareness of site security operations and counter-terrorism principles.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy, high-profile venue.
