We are working with a fast-growing food distribution business with a strong reputation for qualityand reliability. You will be operating a fleet of 30+ vehicles daily, andmanaging a busy warehouse team. The company is on an exciting growthtrajectory, with a family-run culture and a commitment to operationalexcellence, they're looking for an Operations Manager to join their team andhelp drive efficiency across transport and warehouse operations.
Your new role:
As Operations Manager,you'll oversee day-to-day operations across transport and warehouse, ensuringsmooth processes and high standards of service. You'll manage rota planning,performance monitoring, and compliance, while supporting change initiatives anddriving continuous improvement. This is a hands-on role where you'll leadteams, resolve operational issues, and work closely with the OperationsDirector to implement new business plans.
What will you need to succeed in this role?
- Strong experience in transport and warehouse operations,ideally at shift manager level or above.
- Knowledge of route planningsystems, warehouse software, and compliance (including WTD and H&S).
- Ability to lead and motivateteams, with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Commercial awareness and flexibility to adapt to business needs.
- A good understanding of employment law and legislation (HR / RTW / Investigations/ disciplinaries)
- Investigating warehouse and drivers' complaints, documenting, and advising on next steps
- Ideally, International CPC qualification
- A proactive, hands-on approachand willingness to roll up your sleeves
