Summary

Adult Safeguarding Liaison Officer (Fixed Term)
Job description
18.5 hours per week.

Fixed Term up to 12 months within job-sharing arrangements.

Job sharing is a type of flexible working arrangement where two employees share the responsibilities, duties and hours of a single full-time role. Each person works part-time hours, with both individuals contributing to the role’s overall outcomes.

The Adult Safeguarding & Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) Team is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join the MASH (Multi-agency Safeguarding Hub). The Team is friendly, fast paced and supportive, committed to working towards and achieving positive outcomes for citizens within our area.

The MASH work in close collaboration with partner agencies such as South Wales Police and the Local Health Board, to support individuals in line with the Social Services & Well Being (Wales) Act 2014 and the Wales Safeguarding Procedures.

Along with responding to Adult at Risk reports, our team promotes early intervention and preventive partnership working by attending multi-agency forums and strengthening working relationships with third sector organisations, which assists in effective signposting along with improving the outcomes for residents of Bridgend County Borough Council.

The ability to greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement for this post.

Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.

An Enhanced with Adults Barred list criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) is a requirement for this post.

The council’s Hybrid Working Policy applies to this post. This provides a framework for establishing how you will undertake working hours between your home and the office.
