About The Role
Fixed Term Contract for 12 months
2 positions available
Hours: 20 hours per week covering evening and weekend shifts in accordance with a prescribed rota:
- Evening shifts are 2000hrs – 0000hrs (4 hrs)
- Weekends are worked as a split shift 0800hrs – 1400hrs; 2000hrs – 0000hrs (10 hrs total)
Salary £13,950-£14,169
There may be the requirement to work additional hours subject to operational requirements. Where required these additional hours will be compulsory and paid at the standard hourly rate.
Location: Vesty Road, Bootle
We are looking to recruit a Courier on a temporary basis to assist in the collection and delivery of equipment and other resources across all our locations within Merseyside.
The collection and delivery of mail on a daily basis is also a requirement, as well as ensuring any vehicle used is kept clean, tidy and roadworthy and reporting any vehicle faults to the Engineering Centre.
The ideal candidate will have a good geographical knowledge of the Merseyside region and a good awareness of manual handling techniques and basic health and safety in the workplace.
The post is required to cover evening and weekend working, on a shift rota basis. Details of the hours to be worked are specified in the Job Profile.
Please note due to the operational requirements of the role, there is an expectation that the post-holder will work flexibly to meet these requirements.
