Are you passionate about supporting children who have experienced early trauma and have complex social, emotional and mental health needs? We have an incredible long-term block booking opportunity within a highly respected therapeutic residential school set in beautiful West Oxfordshire.
This is a term-time only role, offering full-time hours (including one weekend day) and the chance to work as part of an exceptional team making a lasting difference in children’s lives.
The Role
As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will:
• Provide consistent emotional, social and practical support to children in a therapeutic residential setting
• Help create a safe, nurturing and structured environment
• Work within a highly integrated therapeutic model, collaborating with education staff, therapists and residential teams
• Support children with daily routines, activities, emotional regulation and personal growth
• Build trusting, healthy relationships that foster resilience and development
• Work across a rota that must include either a Saturday or Sunday
This block booking guarantees stable full-time hours and the opportunity to become a valued part of the school's care team.
About You
We’re looking for people who are:
• Experienced in residential childcare, SEN, SEMH or therapeutic environments (highly preferred)
• Emotionally resilient, calm under pressure and nurturing in challenging moments
• Able to work full-time term-time hours, including at least one weekend day
• Passionate about trauma-informed care and child development
• Able to form strong, professional and supportive relationships
• Team players with strong communication and safeguarding awareness
