Service Purchasing Co-ordinator – Winsford, Cheshire – Supply Chain & Procurement
Are you organised, detail-oriented, and experienced in purchasing or stock management? We’re seeking a Service Purchasing Co-ordinator to join a busy distribution hub in Winsford, Cheshire. This permanent, full-time role offers the chance to play a key part in maintaining stock availability and supporting customer service, all while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing operational efficiency with excellent customer service, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and is motivated to contribute to process improvements.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00 (45-minute unpaid lunch)

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Service Purchasing Co-ordinator, you will:
• Manage stock replenishment orders from approved suppliers on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Ensure core product availability meets company targets while keeping costs under control.
• Track incoming stock and communicate accurate ETAs to the warehouse team.
• Record customs entries for international orders accurately and efficiently.
• Work with colleagues to reduce transport costs and optimise deliveries.
• Monitor and chase overdue orders, confirming delivery dates for customer updates.
• Source items outside core stock policy for specific customer orders and update stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate system records, including cost prices, lead times, and sell prices.
• Process supplier invoices, checking for pricing accuracy and shortages.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
• Assist with any other ad hoc tasks as required to support the team.

• Have experience in purchasing, procurement, or stock management.
• Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Possess strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and suppliers.
• Have technical or engineering knowledge (desirable, not essential).
• Be proactive, flexible, and motivated to improve processes and deliver excellent service.
